Fulham striker Lauri Dalla Valle has joined Crewe Alexandra on a one-month trial ahead of a proposed loan move.

“He’s got that opportunity if he does well over the next few weeks” – Steve Davis

Finnish-born Dalla Valle, 21, has already had loan spells at Exeter City, Dundee United and AFC Bournemouth over the past couple of seasons.

He previously spent three years at Liverpool and was a regular scorer in their youth side. Dalla Valle later made his only senior appearance for them as a substitute in a Europa League qualifier against Macedonian side FK Rabotnički.

“They’ve enabled us to look at him first, we haven’t made any decision on whether we’re are keeping him on loan,” manager Steve Davis told BBC Radio Stoke. ‘But he’s got that opportunity if he does well over the next few weeks.

“He’s a 21-year-old with some experience, and he has scored some goals,” he added. “He’s a good lad, speaks very good English and very excited about the prospect here.”
