Mathias Pogba struck a seven-minute hat-trick in a 5-0 win at Pewsey Vale in Crewe Alexandra’s latest pre-season friendly on Thursday evening.

Alex were were captained by Jon Guthrie while his brother Rob appeared for the opposition. The game was played as part of the deal bringing the former to Gresty Road last season.

Matt Clayton opened the scoring for the visitors just before the break and brother Harry was also on the mark shortly after it before substitute Pogba’s rapid treble – which took his tally to seven in five games since arriving from Wrexham earlier this month.

Crewe are next in action when entertaining Bolton Wanderers tomorrow afternoon, kick-off 3pm.
