Crewe Alexandra have allowed striker Vadaine Oliver to join League Two side Mansfield Town on a month’s loan.

Manager Steve Davis made the decision having recently brought in Danny Haynes on a similar deal from Notts County.

Oliver has appeared a dozen times for the Railwaymen this season but not since their home defeat to the Magpies at the end of last month.

The 23-year-old former Lincoln City forward has been on target once this season – and that in the derby win over Port Vale in September.
