Crewe Alexandra striker Vadaine Oliver is looking to make a point whilst on loan to Mansfield Town for the next month.

“I wasn’t getting game-time and I wasn’t being told why” – Vadaine Oliver

The 23-year-old former Lincoln City marksman arrived last week and was rewarded with an immediate debut for the Stags in their 1-1 draw at York City.

“The last month or so was hard because I wasn’t getting game-time and I wasn’t being told why,” Oliver told Mansfield’s official website. “It’s hard for a player to build confidence and keep momentum going, playing-wise, when you don’t know if you are going to be in the team.

“I needed to get out on loan and here would be a good place to come and get game-time, because they play my kind of football, a little bit more direct, which suits my game.”
