Crewe Alexandra’s new loan striker Danny Haynes admits to jumping at the opportunity of coming to Gresty Road.

“When I was told that Crewe were interested in taking me I jumped at the chance” – Danny Haynes

The 26-year-old has arrived for a month from Notts County and was on the bench for the fine midweek victory against Peterborough United.

“I am pleased to have signed for Crewe and it is another new chapter for me,” Haynes told the Crewe Chronicle. “I am looking forward to it and it is exciting times.

“When I was told that Crewe were interested in taking me on loan for a month I jumped at the chance. It is a chance to come and hopefully play some games, express myself and help Crewe,” he added. “I haven’t been able to play too much this season, so it will be nice to get back playing and if I get an opportunity here then I want to take it.”
