Veteran striker Ryan Lowe believes there are more goals to come following his late winner at Colchester United last night.

“I could have gone to the majority of clubs in League Two to play games, but I wanted to come here” – Ryan Lowe

The 37-year-old returned to former club Crewe Alexandra this week on loan from Bury until early January.

He made an immediate impact after coming on as a second-half substitute
and grabbing a crucial injury-time winning goal at the Weston Homes Community Stadium.

“I’m not ready to hang up my boots up yet,” Lowe admitted to BBC Radio Stoke. “I’m now just five off 200 career goals.

“I’m buzzing for the manager,” he added. “He’s come in for a lot of criticism, but he’s the right man. This is the Crewe way. I could have gone to the majority of clubs in League Two to play games, but I wanted to come here.”
