Brad Inman still has a future at Crewe Alexandra, according to manager Steve Davis.

“If he plays well and shows what he can do then he is still part of my plans here” – Steve Davis

The 22-year-old midfielder hasn’t started a game since the Johnstone’s Paint Trophy defeat to Rochdale at the beginning of last month.

Inman has though featured nine times and scored twice this term but was left out of the squad for the weekend visit to Bradford City.

“I had a choice to make and Brad was the one to miss out,” Davis explained to Crewe’s official website. “I had three forward players on the bench and I couldn’t stretch to four as I needed cover in other areas.

“I’ve spoken to Brad’s agent and Brad and told them that he has to play himself back into the team,” he added. “If he plays well and shows what he can do then he is still part of my plans here.”
