Crewe Alexandra manager Steve Davis intends to keep his squad firmly on their toes over the busy festive period.

“We virtually have everyone fit at the moment and that is good” – Steve Davis

Davis is ready to fully utilise his senior group and keep everybody fresh and available for the forthcoming traditionally vital holiday programme.

He has been boosted by midfielder Abdul Osman returning to training and again being in contention alongside the likes of Kelvin Mellor and AJ Leitch-Smith for the weekend visit of Bournemouth to Gresty Road.

But goalkeeper Steve Phillips (ankle and bruised shin) and Ollie Turton (thigh) both remain doubtful.

“We virtually have everyone fit at the moment and that is good,” Davis told Alex’s official website. “We have Steve struggling with his ankle and shin and Ollie has a thigh strain, but everyone is training. AJ is back with us and Kelvin and Abdul will join in with us today.”
