The transfer of Damian Spencer from Cheltenham Town for £150,000 has collapsed. The Robins striker failed a medical having agreed the terms of his contract.

A knee injury picked up on boxing day was cause for concern for the medical staff at Gresty Road and this morning Steve Holland decided to call off the deal.

Crewe will hear tomorrow if their bid for Forest Green Rovers’ Stuart Fleetwood has been successful.

  • I have seen him play quite a few times for Cheltenham and he’s bloody awful! I cannot see how he’s worth £150,000, you are better spending the money on a decnt forward.
