On loan midfielder Chuks Aneke described his recent late equaliser at Walsall as a special moment.

“It was extra special to be in front of the Crewe fans behind the goal” – Chuks Aneke

The Arsenal teenager came off the bench to convert a dramatic 93rd minute header directly in front of the travelling fans and earn a 2-2 draw at the Banks’s Stadium.

“I am delighted with it, to come back on the pitch and grab a point,” Aneke explained to the Crewe Chronicle. “It feels like we have won because it would have been terrible to have lost. The spirit is good.

“It was really good, it was extra special to be in front of the Crewe fans behind the goal,” he added. “The manager told me to go out and get a goal and I’m delighted I did it.”

Aneke has earlier been dropped to the bench after scoring once in seven appearances for the visitors.
