Mark Rivers today joined League Two outfit Carlisle on a free transfer. The forward, who made 296 appearances for Crewe, was out of contract at the end of the season and had been told he was free to try to find another club. Having cancelled his contract, Rivers now joins Carlisle until the end of the season and could make his debut in Carlisle’s game against Kidderminster tomorrow night.
