Crewe Alex Reserves will play their first game of the season with a behind closed door game against Macclesfield Town at the Reaseheath training complex.
With Crewe not having a reserve side, a number of friendlies will be arranged over the course of the season. This fixture may take place a number of times in the forthcoming season.
The game is likely to give fringe players such as Ben Rix, Colin Daniel, Stuart Tomlinson, Ryan Lynch and George Abbey a run out.
