A second string side win 2-1 at Mansfield this afternoon, with Mark Carrington amongst the scorers.
Carrington’s goal was accompanied by Shaun Miller strike in the first half, with only a 30 yard strike from Rory Boulding getting past the Alex defence.
Both Carrington and Miller will now be hoping to be involved for the trip Cheltenham. Miller has now scored 4 goals in his last 3 outings for either the first team or reserves and will be wondering just what he has to do to get a chance up front.
Carrington meanwhile has struggled to get into the team this season despite a very promising summer. The midfielder may be in with a shout at the weekend though with both Rix and Schumacher looking doubtful for the game.
