Crewe Alexandra have been drawn against Nantwich Town in the 1st Round of the Cheshire Senior Cup, a repeat of the 2017 final, after the draw was made on Twitter this evening. The game will take place at the Alexandra Staadium and is set to be played in the week commencing 7th January and more details will be announced closer to the fixture.

That final, which was played in front of 1831 supporters, was won by Crewe 3-2 as current Dabbers striker Callum Saunders scored the winner late on and this meeting sees the previous 2 winners of the competition meet after Nantwich knocked out the young Railwaymen on route to winning the trophy last season, beating Stockport Town in the final 3-0 in May.

Crewe have won the trophy 7 times whilst Nantwich have won it 5 times while Macclesfield Town are the most successful team in the competition, having won it 21 times in their history.
