As announced on the official site this afternoon, Ross Woodcock has signed his first professional deal with Crewe Alexandra which will see him contracted until the summer of 2018 with the option of a second year.

Woodcock, a full-back from Congleton that has represented Scotland at Under-19 level this season, was a regular for Lee Bell’s Under-18 side which finished 6th in the Northern Section of the U18 Professional Development League 2 and has made appearances for Alex Morris’ Under-23 team. He spend the final couple of months of the season playing for Alsager Town where he made 8 appearances, including getting sent off against Holker Old Boys at the end of March.

He joins Lewis Reilly, a forward who can also play as an attacking midfielder from Liverpool, has also been out on loan during the final couple of months of the season at Radcliffe Borough where he made 8 league appearances and scored 4 times in the Evo-Stik Northern Premier First Division North (the 8th tier of English football).

We brought you the signing of Josh Lundstram‘s first pro deal on Wednesday, who is a central midfielder from Stoke-on-Trent. The 3 join Owen Dale and Harry Pickering to have signed professional terms from this season’s second year scholars.

Everyone involved with Vital Crewe would like to wish all 3 the best in their first year as professionals.
