Defender Matt Tootle says their recent victory against Crawley Town must just be the start for Crewe Alexandra.

“You wouldn’t believe the difference one win can make to the place” – Matt Tootle

The Railwaymen finally posted their first win in seven games despite being reduced to ten-men – and the 23-year-old insists they must now really push on and start moving back up the table.

“You wouldn’t believe the difference one win can make to the place,” Tootle told the Stoke Sentinel. “I came in on Monday morning and everyone was bouncing and full of energy.

“With two weeks until our next game it was very important to get that win, and the way we got it, fighting with 10 men, was even better,” he added. “We’ve just got to concentrate on every game.”
