Madjid Bougherra’s agent Charles Collymore has confirmed that there has been Premiership interest in his client. Collymore said, ‘There has been a lot of interest in Madjid. Three Premiership clubs have expressed an interest as well as a number of Championship clubs.’ Fulham are believed to be amongst the clubs interested, with Chris Coleman looking to tighten up his side’s defence.

Collymore also stated Bougherra’s appreciation of the chance Crewe have given him, ‘We’re not sure what will happen but he’s really enjoyed it at Crewe and he really respects Dario. He said to me after the weekend that Dario is probably the best coach he has ever worked with and he’s really grateful for the opportunity.’

Bougherra has made a big impression at Crewe since he joined in January. Bougherra is only on loan from his French second division side FC Gueugnon, where his manager viewed him as more of a central midfielder. However, FC Gueugnon have financial difficulties meaning that they would be forced to accept a good offer for Bougherra.
