Crewe Alexandra are hosting improving Peterborough United at Gresty Road this weekend.

“There’s no point sticking to what you’ve been doing if it’s not working” – Steve Davis

Striker Lauri Dalla Valle is doubtful due
to a neck problem while Harry Davis (knee), David Fox (back) and Dave Richards (foot) remain watching from
the sidelines.

“We haven’t scored that crucial first goal
in games. One goal in the last six games
is where we’re at so we have to look at ways of creating more,” manager Steve Davis told the Stoke Sentinel. “We’ve gone with an extra forward in the last few games, it’s not really made a great deal of difference, so is it about the players or is about the system?

“There’s no point sticking to what you’ve been doing if it’s not working, you need to find other ways,” he continued. “When you’re on top in games you have to score and when we’ve dominated in games we’ve not necessarily scored in that period.”

The visitors have won four of their previous six games but are without the suspended Jack Baldwin.

However, Gabriel Zakuani returns from international duty and Marcus Madison is also available following injury.
