Local referee Tony Bates today called off the match between Vale and Crewe due to a frozen pitch. No doubt fans of both clubs were looking forward to the derby clash in North Staffs and will be disappointed with this news. But for Crewe fans it now means that the suspended Adam Dugdale and David Artell should be back in time for the re-arranged fixture, should other games beforehand go ahead.
The match will now be played on Tuesday 28th February
