The Finnish FA have confirmed that Will Jaaskelainen will be called up for their Under-21 squad for the forthcoming international break (link in Finnish).

Will has been called up for their game in Romania on Thursday, kicking off at 6:00 pm UK time, in the 5th game of their qualifying campaign towards the European Championships that will take place in Hungary and Slovenia in 18 months and will be competing for the goalkeeping position with Brighton & Hove Albion development goalkeeper Hugo Keto.

Finland currently sit in 2nd place in their group sitting behind Denmark in a group that also contains Romania, Ukraine, Northern Ireland and Malta after their defeat to the Danes last month which sees them in the play-off spot in the group.

As a result, he will miss our next game against Northampton Town next Saturday so Dave Richards will be expected to start that game with Sam Booth on the bench.
