Skipper Ashley Westwood reckons Crewe Alexandra have been given a dream draw with their trip to West Ham United in the Capital One Cup tomorrow evening.

“We have a chance to play at a Premiership ground against Premier League players” – Ashley Westwood

The Alex are travelling to Upton Park after easily disposing of Hartlepool United in the opening round of the competition.

And Westwood, 22, believes Crewe head to the capital with absolutely no weight of expectation on them.

“I don’t think you could have wished for a better draw at this stage than West Ham away,” Westwood told Crewe’s official website. “We have a chance to play at a Premiership ground against Premier League players.

“They are one of the biggest clubs to go in at this round,” he added. “It is a great ground, with a great atmosphere and there is no pressure on us. Hopefully, we can go there and do the business on the night.”
