Michael O’Connor is set to complete a £100,000 move to Championship side Scunthorpe.
Vital Crewe sources believe the move is close to completion and it’ll see O’Connor end a turbulent time at the club.
The Irish midfielder has been seeking a move away from Gresty Road since his public spat with Gudjon Thordarson in February. The spat saw O’Connor loaned out to Lincoln for the rest of the season before taking a trial at SPL side Hibs.
Earlier last month Scunthorpe manager Nigel Adkins admitted interest in O’Connor and admitted he was set to firm up his interest in the midfielder.
The move will see O’Connor end seven years at club since arriving at the club’s academy as a teenager.
