Michael O’Connor made a scoring start to his Northern Ireland career, scoring in a 5-0 U-21 win over Luxembourg. The 20 year old scored the third goal of the game in the European Under-21 qualifier on Friday night.
O’Connor had previously represented Rep. of Ireland at U-21 before switching his alligence back to his country of birth.
Occy has rarely featured this season, with just one start under his belt after a hernia operation in the summer.
