Varney is showing signs of fulfilling his potential this season with 7 goals and 6 assists. However, Dario is unlikely to let the striker go without a fight, as he is a key player in Crewe’s League One campaign. Furthermore, both Varney and Gradi would admit that the forward needs more time to develop.
