Michael Higdon says he has ‘nothing but respect for Dario’ as he begins to make an impact in Scotland.

‘The Don’ is currently the SPL’s leading scorer, albeit after one game, after scoring twice in a 4-0 win over Gretna last weekend. Set to play against Glasgow Celtic this afternoon, Higdon thanked Dario.

He told Setanta Sports: ‘Crewe’s a good club. I’ve got nothing but respect for the club, I was just there too long and I felt I needed to move on.

‘Dario’s a great guy, I’ve got a lot of praise for him. He’s done wonders for me so I’ve got nothing but respect for him.’

Well done to the Don! He of all the players left recently he had more reason to slag the club off. Pity Billy Big Boots Jones couldnt realize what the club has done for the players. Would he be at a Championship club now without being introduced to league football at such an early age. And if he would of signed a new contract he might of been playing at a higher grade with Darios help. Hope he is pleased with his parting shot. The Don was actually happy for what the club has done for him.
