Crewe Alexandra won’t risk Brad Inman at Crawley Town this weekend if he’s not fully recovered.

“We certainly won’t be taking any chances with him” – Steve Davis

The Australian-born midfielder suffered a head and neck injury during the recent game with Sheffield United.

He went to hospital for a scan after being stretchered off and was later cleared following examination.

However, it would require a favourable doctor’s decision if he is to travel this weekend.

“We have continuously monitored Brad this week,” manager Steve Davis told Crewe’s official website. “He has had a couple of headaches earlier in the week and he hasn’t trained since the incident. We certainly won’t be taking any chances with him.”

Otherwise, striker Callum Saunders is likely to be in the squad having scored his fourth goal in four games for the Under-21s against Nottingham Forest this week.
