Crewe Alexandra won’t be making an immediate move back into the loan market according to assistant manager Neil Baker.

“We want to go with our own at the moment and then if we feel we need to act we have one or two we can go for” – Neil Baker

That is despite the loss of on loan Manchester City teenager Harry Bunn, who suffered knee ligament damage during the weekend draw with Tranmere Rovers.

Meanwhile, summer capture Mathias Pogba is still on the sidelines and around a couple of weeks away from returning. The Alex have also recently lost the services of former skipper Ashley Westwood to Aston Villa.

But a resounding 8-0 victory for the reserves in a private friendly against Blackpool this week has convinced management there are already enough options currently available to them.

“We could have got somebody in this week,” Baker told Crewe’s official website. “We have had opportunities to bring players in, both in midfield and further forward, but we want to go with our own at the moment and then if we feel we need to act we have one or two we can go for.”
