Kenny is happy to be back home as he speaks about his return to the club, and that, erm, defeat to MK Dons.

Lunt returned to the club for a 3rd stint this morning after caretaker boss Dario pushed the loan transfer through just last night. Celebrating his 29th birthday today Lunt is set to slot straight back into the Alex midfield on Saturday to replace suspended Michael O’Connor.

And Lunt is happy to be back after a torrid couple of seasons at Sheffield Wednesday. Speaking to CreweAlex.net Lunt told how the move came about: ‘I have been available for loan for a while, so when Crewe came back in for me I jumped at the chance to come back

‘I played for Sheffield Wednesday’s reserves on Tuesday evening but had a message that Crewe might be interested in taking me back on loan. I then spoke to Dario on Wednesday evening and everything has gone through fairly quickly.

‘It wasn’t that long ago that I was here at loan and it was nice to see some familiar faces again.’

Lunt’s heart has never left Gresty Road and he admitted that he stills gets over to some matches from time to time, recounting the recent 2-2 draw with MK Dons: ‘I saw the match against the MK Dons and thought that Crewe were unfortunate to lose. MK Dons have done fairly well this season and I honestly thought there was nothing between the two sides.’
