Versatile defender Perry Ng has signed a year’s extension to his current deal which was due to expire this summer.

Ng, 21, has made 20 appearances for the first team this season after making his debut in November 2015 as a substitute for Ryan Colclough against Oldham as the club won 1-0.

Having come into the team as a full-back earlier in the season, he ended the season in his preferred position of central defence partnered by midfielder Billy Bingham after injuries to senior central defenders Jon Guthrie, George Ray and Ben Nugent.

He joins Zoumana Bakayago as defenders who are contracted to next season.
