New striker Nathan Ellington is determined to kick-start his career at Crewe Alexandra.

“It felt great to be part of a squad again and to get the win” – Nathan Ellington

The 31-year-old was an unused substitute against Colchester United at the weekend having only joined the club the previous day until the end of the season.

Bradford-born Ellington has already shown his goalscoring ability with the likes of Bristol Rovers, Wigan Athletic and West Bromwich Albion during his career.

“I am just happy to have signed and to be part of the team,” Ellington told Crewe’s official website. “Hopefully I can contribute as we aim for the play-offs.

“It felt great to be part of a squad again and to get the win as well topped the weekend, it was great to get back to winning ways,” he added. “Hopefully I will be successful and if I am the team will benefit.”
