Newcomer Ryan Lowe can exert a major influence both on and off the pitch, according to Crewe Alexandra manager Steve Davis.

“He has scored goals in this league and the one above” – Steve Davis

The veteran 37-year-old campaigner this week rejoined the club on loan from Bury in a deal running until the New Year.

“He might just be the boost that we need,” Davis told the Stoke Sentinel. “We
wanted an experience guy who could come in and make a difference both on and off the pitch.

“He’s someone who knows this league, has scored goals in this league and the one above, he’s a good character and knows the club, so he is ideal for us at the moment,” he added. “We have been able to integrate him into the group because of the trip down, so it’s come at a good time.”
