Assistant manager Neil Baker believes Crewe Alexandra can match the success of their transfer activities last summer.

“Our supporters have been pleased with the business we did” – Neil Baker

The Alex handed senior debuts to no few than ten players last season on their return to the third tier of the English game, including top scorer Mathias Pogba, while fellow newcomers Mark Ellis and Abdul Osman both became regulars.

“That love of finding a new player never diminishes,” Baker told This is Staffordshire. “If it ever does you need to get out of football.

“It’s good to get new faces in and Mathias, Mark Ellis and Abdul Osman have been fantastic additions to the group, and our supporters have been pleased with the business we did,” he added. “They have all done as well as we could have hoped and hopefully we can be as successful this time around.”
