Crewe Alexandra are again expected to be without midfielder Ryan Colclough against Shrewsbury Town this weekend.

The eighteen-year-old has seen a number of niggling injuries keeping him on the sidelines of late. He was recently forced out of an Under-21 game with Nottingham Forest due to an abdominal problem.

Colclough has since been unable to train but it is still hoped he will feature at some stage over the festive period.

Goalkeeper Steve Phillips (shoulder), midfielder Ollie Turton (knee) and forward pair Mathias Pogba (knee) and Max Clayton (ankle) are already out this weekend.
