Lundstram Re-Joins Former Loan Club

|

Crewe Alexandra have confirmed that midfielder Josh Lundstram has rejoined Kidsgrove Athletic, managed by former Alex Academy Graduate Ryan Austin, on an initial month-long loan this afternoon and is available to play in tomorrow’s game against Wisbech Town.

Lundstram, 20, has yet to make his first-team debut for the Alex (has made the bench on a number of occasions) but has been a regular for Alex Morris’ Under-23 side over the last couple of years. This spell at Kidsgrove will be his second at the club following a month-long loan spell there last season having also spent time out on loan at Nuneaton Borough.

He joins Billy Sass-Davies (AFC Telford United) out on loan from the Alex currently.

What does this mean for him going forward?

It’s another loan spell out playing first-team football and, having spent time with the Grove previously, is a spell that’ll allow him to progress towards breaking into the Alex first team in the future. It’ll be interesting to see whether he plays in his preferred central midfield position (which I think he will) or in a position like right-back that he spent a lot of pre-season playing in.
