Lundstram Joins Altrincham On Permanent Deal

|

Crewe Alexandra midfielder Josh Lundstram will join National League club Altrincham for an undisclosed fee, a deal that will become official on July 1st.

Lundstram, 23, came through the Alex academy and would spend time on loan at Sandbach United, Newcastle Town, Kidsgrove Athletic for two spells, Nuneaton Borough, Altrincham and Solihull Moors before making 36 appearances for the Railwaymen, 30 of which were in the season that finished last month.

What will this mean going forward for both the Alex and Lundstram?

Lundstram is a player that is familiar to Alty fans with that loan spell three seasons ago but he’s someone who can play in a number of different roles, whether that’s in a midfield position or as a full/wing-back.

His move will free up space in the Alex midfield that may be taken by someone like Joel Tabiner or even Charlie Finney next season or even see the Alex move for another defensive option, whether that’s as a first-choice or as a rotation option.
