Crewe Alexandra midfielder Abdul Osman could be fit for the weekend FA Cup first round tie with Wycombe Wanderers at Gresty Road.

“We are hopeful that he will be okay for this weekend” – Steve Davis

The 25-year-old limped out of the recent victory against Swindon Town due to an ongoing ankle problem.

“Abdul got another kick on his ankle against Swindon and it forced him off,” Crewe manager Steve Davis told
This is Staffordshire. “We are hopeful that he will be okay for this weekend. He has made strides and could be back in contention.”

Meanwhile, striker AJ Leitch-Smith is also making progress from a foot injury but was not expected to come back under consideration until towards the end of November.

“He has been working on the bike and doing some cardio that way, but he hasn’t been able to run on it yet,” Davis added. “He is getting there, but it will still be a few weeks with him.”
