Midfielder Becomes Latest To Join Witton On Loan

|

Crewe Alexandra have announced that midfielder Connor Heath has joined Witton Albion on loan, initially for a month. He joins Billy Sass-Davies and Lewis Reilly that are currently out on loan from the Alex.

Heath, 19, signed his first professional deal in the summer and his spell with the Northern Premier League side will be the second loan spell of his career after spending the last couple of months of last season at Newcastle Town. He is eligible for 7 first-team games for Witton during the next month including tomorrow afternoon’s trip to Bamber Bridge and is also available to play for Alex Morris’ Under-23 Alex side during the spell.

He becomes the latest player to be loaned out to the Northwich-based side from the Alex with previous loan moves give early career experience to the likes of Shaun Miller, Nicky Maynard, Owen Dale and Luke Offord.

How will this move benefit Heath?

It’ll benefit Heath by allowing him to gain some more first-team experience in senior football where the games mean a lot more than development football and he’ll probably from the start unlike his Newcastle spell earlier in the year where he was often used as a substitute.
