Goals in either half from Rhys Browne and Olufela Olomola gave Yeovil Town a victory at home to Crewe Alexandra at Huish Park yesterday afternoon.

Crewe manager David Artell made one change to last Saturday`s victory against Stevenage with top scorer Chris Porter coming in for club captain Chris Dagnall up front alongside last week`s scorer Jordan Bowery.

The opening chance of the game came in the 6th minute with George Cooper finding Porter whose first-time effort hit the outside of the post before Browne found Olomola who missed the target from a tight angle a minute later. The Glovers took the lead in the 14th minute as Francois Zoko`s low cross found Browne who volleyed home before Bowery shot over the bar from the edge of the area minutes later.

More chances followed for Yeovil as Browne again fired over from a tight angle before Tom Lowery`s deflected shot from the edge of the area was saved by Artur Krysiak in the Town goal in an attack from the Railwaymen. Lowery forced another save out of Krysiak before Michael Raynes couldn`t get on the end of a George Cooper cross as the visitors put a lot of pressure just before half-time.

Into the second half and more Crewe pressure as Conor Grant shot wide 5 minutes after the break before Yeovil extended the lead 6 minutes later. Ryan Dickson, on his 100th appearance for Yeovil, crossed to the back post for Olomola to fire past Richards via a slight deflection. Eddie Nolan almost halved the deficit midway through the second period as he headed a Cooper corner off the bar.

The final 10 minutes saw Dave Richards make a decent save from Browne before Zoko skied a chance that was easier to score and Richards made another decent save from Browne following a Yeovil breakaway.
