Two second-half goals from Jordan Bowery added to by the first Crewe goals from Harry Pickering and Paul Green as Crewe Alexandra dominated the game at Sincil Bank yesterday afternoon, despite Michael Bostwick giving the hosts the lead.

Manager David Artell made 3 changes from Tuesday`s home defeat against Exeter City with George Ray coming in for his 1st appearance of the season (also taking the captain`s armband) and Jamie Sterry returning to the defensive line with Bowery up front with Michael Raynes, Tom Lowery and Harry McKirdy all dropping down to the bench, where they were joined by Dave Richards, Brad Walker, Lewis Reilly and Daniel Barlaser.

The opening chance of the game came in the 8th minute as Danny Rowe found former Nantwich Town forward Matt Rhead but his effort from 8 yards was saved by Crewe keeper Ben Garratt whilst Crewe`s first chance came 6 minutes later as Shaun Miller had an effort from well-out which missed the target.

The opening goal of the game came 10 minutes before the break as Sam Habergham`s free-kick found captain Luke Waterfall whose header was headed in by fellow central-defender Bostwick for his fifth goal of the season. A couple of minutes later, Ray had his goal-bound effort headed away by Rhead following Pickering`s corner whilst the youngster would score his first senior goal on the stroke of half-time with a 20-yard free-kick.

After a half-time change for the hosts, it was the Alex who took the lead a couple of minutes after the break as Bowery turned in a low Miller cross before Perry Ng produced a terrific save from Ryan Allsop with a 35-yard volley. 7 minutes after the break it was 1-3 as Miller was brought down in the penalty area with Green finding the bottom left corner.

The next chance for the Imps saw a Lee Frecklington free-kick fly over the bar before Bowery added his second and his side`s forth mid-way through the second period. A Lincoln corner was countered quickly with Green running the length of the pitch before finding Bowery who chipped Allsop from just inside the area.

Crewe`s next game sees Forest Green Rovers play at the Alexandra Stadium for the first ever time next Saturday.
