This evening sees the first of two away trips this week with the short trip to New Meadow to face Shrewsbury Town. Both teams will have players that the other set of fans will recognise as the Shrews have both Daniel Udoh and Brad Walker while the Alex have Omar Beckles and Olly Lancashire as well as forwards Mikael Mandron and Chris Porter in theirs.

Since the last meeting, they have signed left-back Nathanael Ogbeta from Manchester City and midfielder David Davis from Birmingham City, both on permanent deals, with defender Matthew Pennington and winger Harry Chapman both arriving on loan deals.

Defender Charlie Daniels and striker Jason Cummings joined Portsmouth and Dundee respectively.
