Tomorrow evening sees a trip to Home Park to face Plymouth Argyle, who have former loanee Conor Grant and Alex Academy Alum George Cooper in their squad.

This Season:

Plymouth currently sit in 4th place in the league. They have beat Gillingham, Shrewsbury Town, Sheffield Wednesday, AFC Wimbledon and Doncaster Rovers, they’ve drawn with Cambridge United, Fleetwood Town and Portsmouth and lost at Rotherham United on the opening day.

They were knocked out of the Carabao Cup in the 2nd Round by Swansea City after knocking out Peterborough United in Round 1 while they lost their first EFL Trophy game against Newport County in a group that also contains Swindon Town and Arsenal’s Under-21s.

Plymouth have made 10 signings this summer – 8 permanent signings and two season-long loans. Goalkeeper Callum Burton has come in from Cambridge United, defenders James Bolton, Macaulay Gillesphey, Dan Scarr, James Wilson and Brendan Galloway have also have joined. Midfielders Jordan Houghton and Ryan Broom (loan) and forwards Kieran Agard and Jordon Garrick (loan) complete the signings.

They have allowed 11 players to leave on permanent deals, including former Alex player Byron Moore, while two youngsters have left the club on loan deals.
