Tomorrow afternoon sees Crewe Alexandra play the first of 3 successive home games in all competitions as they host Crawley Town, the visitors’ squad containing former Alex defender Travis Johnson following his move in the summer.

This Season:

They sit in 20th place in the league after beating Stockport County, drawing with Harrogate Town, Rochdale and Salford City while they have lost against Carlisle United, Leyton Orient, Northampton Town and AFC Wimbledon.

They beat Bristol Rovers and Fulham in the Carabao Cup to set up a trip to Burnley in Round 3 while they beat Portsmouth on penalties in their opening EFL Trophy game in a group that also contains AFC Wimbledon and Aston Villa’s Under-21s.

Goalkeepers Corey Addai, Ellery Balcome (EOS loan) and David Robson (Jan loan) arrive as well as defenders Dion Conroy, Johnson, Tobi Omole, Ben Wells, Brandon Mason and loanee Mazeed Ogungbo. Midfielders Jayden Davis, James Balagizi, Teddy Jenks and Tom Fellows (the last 3 on loan) while forwards Dom Telford, Moe Shubbar, David Bremang and loanee Caleb Chukwuemeka complete the signings.

They have allowed 9 players to leave the club permanently while 3 players have left on season-long loans.
