Tomorrow evening sees Crewe Alexandra travel to Plough Lane to face AFC Wimbledon, the hosts’ squad containing goalkeeper Will Jaaskelainen following his release by the Alex in the summer while Rod McDonald will not be available to face his former club after being ruled out with an injury picked up in last week’s EFL Trophy game.

This Season:

They sit in 17th place in the league after beating Gillingham, Crawley Town, Colchester United and Rochdale, drawn against Hartlepool United, Doncaster Rovers and Bradford City while they have lost against Mansfield Town, Barrow, Stockport County, Northampton Town, Carlisle United, Walsall and Sutton United.

They lost to Gillingham in the Carabao Cup 1st Round while they top their EFL Trophy group after beating Aston Villa’s Under-21s and Crawley Town, playing Portsmouth in the final group game.

Midfielders Harry Pell and loanee Paris Maghoma while forwards Josh Davison, Courtney Senior and loanees Kyle Hudlin and Nathan Young-Coombes complete the signings.

They have allowed 16 players to leave the club permanently while 5 players have left the club on loan deals.
