Tomorrow evening sees Crewe Alexandra host Accrington Stanley at the Alexandra Stadium with both teams just outside the play-offs heading the final third of the season.

This Season:

They sit in 7th place in the league following wins against Peterborough United, AFC Wimbledon, Rochdale, Fleetwood Town, Northampton Town, Swindon Town, us, MK Dons, Gillingham, Charlton Athletic, Hull City, Bristol Rovers, Doncaster Rovers, they have drawn with Lincoln City, Shrewsbury Town twice, Blackpool, Plymouth Argyle, Northampton and Lincoln City while they have lost against Burton Albion, Oxford United, Ipswich Town, Wigan Athletic, Gillingham, Hull City, Plymouth.

They lost in the 1st Round in both the FA Cup and EFL Cup to Tranmere Rovers and Burton (on penalties) respectively while they finished 2nd in their EFL Trophy group after wins against Leeds United’s Under-21s and Barrow either side of a defeat on penalties against Blackpool. They would eliminate Manchester United’s youngsters in Round 2 before a defeat against Lincoln in Round 3.

Transfers:

Since the last meeting, they have signed former Alex loanee Gary Roberts and David Morgan on permanent deals as well as bringing in Paul Smyth and Adam Phillips on loan deals. They have also allowed youngsters Jack Bolton, Rhys Fenlon and Harry Perritt to all join Southport on loan deals until the end of the season.
