Crewe’s Carling Cup Third Round meeting with holders Manchester United is to be televised. Consequently, the game has been switched to Wednesday 25th October.
The estimated £100,000 extra revenue will help to ease the burden of the estimated £1 million pound deficit as a result of last season’s relegation to League One. This will be the second time this season that a Crewe game has been televised, following Sky’s presence during the 2-0 home victory over Huddersfield.
Tickets for the Carling Cup game go on sale to season ticket holders and members tomorrow.
