Glyn Chamberlain has identified Doncaster centre half Stephen Roberts as a potential loan signing should our defensive injury problems not clear up in the next couple of days.
Roberts is a 6ft 1 centre half and used to play for Wrexham. The defender has been a bit part player for Rovers this season and Doncaster boss Sean O’Driscoll (pictured) could allow him out on loan to get some first team games under his belt.
Crewe will assess the ‘walking wounded’ before deciding whether to pursue a deal for the former Wrexham defender ahead of Saturday’s match against Yeovil.

Steve Roberts is a quality defender. He’s suffered terribly with injuries the last few years and a short spell with Crewe would do you both good.
