Goals from Jamie Shackleton and Pascal Struijk would give Leeds United the victory against Crewe Alexandra in the Under-23 Professional Development League at their training ground. James Jones scored the Alex goal in the second half.
Manager Alex Morris was named Dave Richards in goal as captain with a back 4 of Travis Johnson, Christian Mbulu, Luke Offord and Nathan Woodthorpe in front of him. In central midfield were Ollie Finney, Jones and Regan Griffiths while Owen Dale and Tyreece Onyeka played either side of Connor Heath up front. On the bench were goalkeeper Sam Booth, Aaron Lomas, Joe Robbins and Abdul Djalo.
Leeds took the lead 6 minutes before the break with Edmondson finding Shackleton whose effort found the top corner with Jones levelling the score 18 minutes left to play. Leeds took the lead again with 6 minutes to play as defender Struijk would turn the ball in from a corner.
The next couple of games are a trip to Sheffield United next Monday before hosting Bolton Wanderers the following Monday at Reaseheath.
