Goals in the final 15 minutes from Aaron Lomas and Tyreece Onyeka gave Crewe Alexandra the win against Bolton Wanderers at Reaseheath this afternoon in the Under-23 Professional Development League.

With the first team hosting Leyton Orient tomorrow night, manager Alex Morris was named Sam Booth in goal with a back 3 of captain Oliver Southern, Billy Sass-Davies and Jack Goodrich, a midfield 4 from right-to-left of Abdul Djalo, Joe Robbins, Regan Griffiths and Nathan Woodthorpe while Lomas and Onyeka played either side of Daniel Lokko up front. On the bench were goalkeeper Andy Waitlake, Jamie Wrench, Ethan Hartshorn, Luke Allen and Kyle Stubbs.

After Goodrich hit the post in the first-half, it was a long wait for the opening goal with it coming 10 minutes from time with Lomas scoring before his effort was saved by Luke Hutchinson with Onyeka the first to react from close range.

The next couple of games are trips to Hull City on Saturday evening before heading to Nottingham Forest on St. Valentine’s Day.
