Former Crewe midfielder Kenny Lunt will be facing the Alex next season after signing for Hereford today.
Lunt spent over 10 years with the club, coming through the academy to eventually play over 400 games in red, most of them coming in the Championship. Despite never becoming much of a fan favourite, he was certainly a vital part of the Alex midfield for much of his time here.
After signing for Sheff Wed on a free in 2006 he suffered a stop start couple of years before being pretty much frozen out of the side altogether for the 2007-2008 season.
He returned to Gresty Road on loan spells a couple of times in the mean time. Last season he re-joined the club in November but after two appearances and an injury he was completely overlooked by new manager Gudjon Thordarson, seeing out his season long loan deal without playing another game.
Lunt, 29, could yet be joined by another ex-Alex player with former keeper Stuart Tomlinson said to be interesting the Bulls. Tommo was released by Gudjon earlier this summer.
