Kenny Looking For Exit?

Kenny Lunt has hinted he may be interested in leaving Sheffield Wednesday. The Alex legend was made available for loan in October, and was even linked with a move back to Gresty Road – where he spent over 7 years – but nothing came of it.

Instead, ‘The Little Magician’ had loan offers from Walsall and Sydney FC. He rejected Walsall for obvious reasons whilst a move to Sydney collapsed after visa complications.

With the loan window shut, Kenny now has plenty of time to think about his future.

‘I’ll see what happens and then have a rethink in January,’ he told the Sheffield Star.

‘I wasn’t really keen on the idea of going to Walsall; I was interested in the Australia thing; I thought it would have been good experience and a chance to play games, but it didn’t work out.

‘I thought I might have got a chance in our team at Plymouth, when Glenn Whelan was suspended and Graham Kavanagh had gone back to Sunderland, but I didn’t. I think there’s a few ahead of me.’

A lot of support from fans has been drummed up for the return of Lunt since he was made available, but it looks like room will have to be made before any offer is put forward. However, with rumours abound that Eugen Bopp’s time is (already) up, maybe there will be a space for Lunt?

Would you want him back?
